...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AKST TODAY... * WHAT...Snow. Areas of freezing drizzle. Additional snow accumulations between 1 and 4 inches. Locally higher amounts possible in heavy snow bands. * WHERE...Anchorage and Lower Matanuska Valley. * WHEN...Until noon AKST today. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Locally heavy bands of snow will continue to move over the area. These bands are capable of producing snowfall rates of one inch per hour. Low density snow will be easily lofted by cars, leading to reduced visibility. Some areas of freezing drizzle will be heavy enough to ice up windshields.
