...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AKST SATURDAY...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
between 18 and 30 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph.

* WHERE...Thompson Pass.

* WHEN...Until noon AKST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one quarter mile or less due to
blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong north winds are expected through
Saturday morning before switching to southeasterly through the
remainder of the event.

Information: 
A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel very hazardous. If you must travel, have a
winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your
vehicle.
