...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM AKST SATURDAY... * WHAT...Snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 6 and 14 inches. Winds gusting up to 30 mph. Visibility reduced to a half mile or less at times. * WHERE...McCarthy and Southern Copper Valley. * WHEN...Until 9 PM AKST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A period of light to moderate snowfall is expected this evening into early Saturday morning, followed by a period of gusty south winds Saturday morning through Saturday evening. The gusty winds could loft the new snowfall, leading to areas of blowing snow and reduced visibility along parts of the Richardson Highway.
