...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM AKST MONDAY... * WHAT...Additional snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches. * WHERE...Chatanika River Valley, Fairbanks Metro Area, Goldstream Valley and Nenana Hills, Nenana, and Tanana Flats. * WHEN...Until 3 AM AKST Monday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Visibilities may drop below 1 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. *ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An area of heavy snowfall will likely develop overnight, where snowfall rates could be as high as an inch an hour. Total snow accumulations are expected to range 6 to 12 inches. Highest amounts will likely be west of Fairbanks.
