At 222 AM EST, a strong thunderstorm was located over The Vicinity Of
Atlantic Beach Bridge, or near Ar315, moving northeast at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Atlantic Beach, Harkers Island, The Turning Basin, Beaufort Inlet,
Ar320, The Morehead City-Atlantic Beach Bridge, R-8 Buoy, Beaufort,
Cape Lookout Bight, Cape Lookout, The Vicinity Of Atlantic Beach
Bridge, and Ar315.

Information:
Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.

* WHAT...Northwest winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 40 kt and
seas 6 to 9 ft expected.

* WHERE...The coastal waters from Oregon Inlet to Surf City.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to noon EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could
capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.

Information:
Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the
vessel for hazardous conditions.
