FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM MST THIS EVENING FOR SOUTHERN COCHISE COUNTY


A FLASH FLOOD WARNING is in effect for this area until 7:30 PM MST. This is a dangerous and life-threatening situation. Do not attempt to travel unless you are fleeing an area subject to flooding or under an evacuation order.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM MST THIS EVENING FOR SOUTHERN COCHISE COUNTY...

At 453 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Hereford and Palominas.

This includes Route 92 between mile markers 334 and 340.

This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations...
Moson Rd from HWY 90 and Hereford Rd.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 412 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This  will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sierra Vista, Hereford, Palominas and Coronado National Memorial.
- This includes Route 92 between mile markers 333 and 341.
