* WHAT...Heavy snow. Additional snow accumulations 1 to 4 inches.
Winds gusting as high as 60 mph.

* WHERE...Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range.

* WHEN...Until midnight MST tonight.

* IMPACTS...Snow and ice covered roads will make travel hazardous.
Snow and blowing snow may reduce visibility to a quarter mile or
less at times.

...AVALANCHE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY 5 AM TO WEDNESDAY 11 PM...

*WHAT...Heavy snow and strong winds will result in HIGH (4 of 5)
avalanche danger

*WHERE...Park Range, Medicine Bow Mountains, Never Summer Range, and
Indian Peaks including most of Rocky Mountain National Park

*WHEN...Expect very dangerous avalanche conditions on Wednesday

*IMPACTS...Large and dangerous avalanches will be easy to trigger.
Large avalanches will run naturally.

*PRECAUTION/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Travel in backcountry avalanche
terrain is not recommended on Wednesday.
Avoid travel on and under slopes with a slope angle steeper than
