Details:

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CHST SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet.

* WHERE...North facing reefs of Pohnpei.

* WHEN...Until 3 AM ChST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and
localized beach erosion.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Latest Pohnpei buoy data shows combined seas
around 6 to 9 feet, mainly comprised of an elevated, longer
period north swell. The primary swell is around 5 to 7 feet with
a period of 10 to 11 seconds, sufficient to generate hazardous
surf around 9 to 10 feet along north facing reefs of Pohnpei. The
primary swell energy will gradually shift north-northeast over
the next few days as it continues to build, maintaining
hazardous surf along north facing reefs through early Sunday.

Information:

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.
