...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER ACROSS SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL GEORGIA TODAY... A very dry airmass combined with gusty winds will result in an elevated fire danger across southwest and south central Georgia today. Minimum relative humidity will drop to 20 to 25 percent this afternoon. Winds will be out of the northwest at 10 to 20 mph with gusts of 25 to 30 mph. With dry fuels and ongoing drought, elevated fire danger is expected. Please refer to your local officials and burn permitting authorities whether your may burn outdoors. If you do burn outside, use extreme caution.
