River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Winfield. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 28.6 feet, Water begins covering Highway C about a half mile south of Highway B in St. Charles County. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 27.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:00 AM CDT Sunday was 27.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 28.8 feet early Tuesday morning. - Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
