At 1004 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Petersburg,
moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Washington and Monroe City.

At 958 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 8 miles west of Bedford to 13 miles south of
Bloomfield, moving southeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Shoals, Mitchell, Odon, Crane, Williams, Indian Springs, Silverville,
Huron, Owensburg, Burns City, and Spring Mill State Park.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL THURSDAY EVENING...

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...Indiana...

Wabash River from Montezuma to Mount Carmel.

White River from Petersburg to Hazleton.

.Minor flooding continues along the lower White River from Petersburg
to Hazleton. Minor flooding also continues on the Wabash River from
Montezuma down to Mount Carmel with the crest at Vincennes. Rain
amounts with scattered storms this evening are not expected to impact
main stem river levels, but locally heavy rainfall in a basin could
cause a bump in stage as well as lengthen the amount of time in
flood.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Petersburg.

* WHEN...Until Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Flooding affects low agricultural lands,
low oil fields and closes Bottoms Rd...Brothers Rd and East
Governors Road in Knox County.  In agricultural season...farmers
are concerned at this stage.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:30 PM EDT /12:30 PM CDT/ Wednesday the stage was 17.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 1:30 PM EDT /12:30 PM CDT/ Wednesday was 17.7 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise to 17.3 feet this afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage tomorrow morning to 5.8 feet
Monday morning. It will rise to 6.0 feet early Tuesday morning.
It will then fall again and remain below flood stage.
- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.3
feet on 03/14/1949.

Information:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur
in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips,
or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a
small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route over
higher ground.
