* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Saint Joseph River Michigan at Three Rivers.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 9.0 feet, Moderate flooding of Scidmore Park can be
expected. Evacuation of some animals in the park zoo can also be
expected. High water affects several businesses and floods the
basements of homes along south Main, Green, and Jackson Streets.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM EDT Friday, April 17 the stage was 7.4 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 AM EDT Friday was -9999.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.7
feet Monday morning.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

Information:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* WHEN...Until Saturday, April 25.

* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Flooding is confined to park land and park
roads. Some backyard flooding may occur in low lying residential
areas near the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:15 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 5.8 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 3:15 PM EDT Saturday was 5.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 6.6
feet early Tuesday morning. It will then fall below flood
stage Friday evening.
- Flood stage is 5.5 feet.
