...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

...The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Wisconsin...Michigan...

Menominee River near Florence affecting Dickinson, Florence and
Iron Counties.

For the Menominee River...including Florence...Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Menominee River near Florence.

* WHEN...From Monday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Floodwaters reach a few homes and cottages
along Runbers Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 2:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 7.5 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Monday
morning and continue rising to a crest of 10.7 feet early
Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.

...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Michigan...

Paint River at Crystal Falls (Paint) affecting Iron County.

.Warming temperatures will accelerate snowmelt early this week.
Flows in rivers will increase quickly and reach critical levels.
Rainfall is expected to continue during this time period which could
result in rivers rising above the current forecast.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of
record.

* WHERE...Paint River at Crystal Falls (Paint).

* WHEN...From late Monday night until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 5.0 feet, At 5 feet the lowest portions of the Robert
Olson Walking Trail begin to flood
At 5.5 feet, 3500 - cfs - River exceeds bankfull stage
At 7.0 feet, 5600 - cfs - Waterfront park areas near the M-69
bridge and low lying areas along the river in Crystal Falls become
inundated.
At 8.0 feet, Parking lot of roadside park upstream of M-69 begins
to flood

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:10 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 4.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 5.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Tuesday morning and continue rising to a crest of 8.2
feet Tuesday evening.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
6.7 feet on 04/30/2020.
