...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Christian, Dade, Greene, Polk and Stone. * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 517 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Battlefield, Highlandville, Willard, Walnut Grove, Fremont Hills, Brookline, Glidewell, Galloway, Ebenezer, Bois D'arc, Cave Springs, Sacville and Selmore. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
