* WHAT...Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
expected above 3500 feet.

* WHERE...Buncombe, Graham, Haywood, Macon, Madison, Mitchell,
Northern Jackson, Southern Jackson, Swain, and Yancey Counties.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and scattered power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Some snow showers this afternoon near the
Tennessee border could result in some light accumulation and some
blowing snow at times that could reduce the visibility while
driving.
