...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 7 PM MDT MONDAY... ...RED FLAG WARNING FOR THE NORTHEAST PLAINS FROM NOON UNTIL 7 PM MDT MONDAY DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY... .Southwest winds will increase across northeastern New Mexico on Monday afternoon. Gusts of 35 to 45 mph will be commonplace, while humidities drop below 15 percent for the second straight day. While portions of the area, particularly Harding and eastern San Miguel Counties, received wetting rainfall on Friday and Saturday afternoons, these dry conditions will rapidly dry out fine fuels such as grasses. The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from noon to 7 PM MDT Monday. * AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Plains (Zone 104) for Monday from Noon to 7 PM MDT. * 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values 11 to 15 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
