* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet
accumulations a coating to one inch and ice accumulations around
one tenth of an inch.

* WHERE...Eastern Dutchess, Eastern Greene, and Western Columbia
Counties.

* WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to noon EST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation begins this afternoon as mainly
rain, changing over to a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain
tonight. Snow may briefly mix in Friday morning before the wintry
mix tapers off.

...Patches of Black Ice Expected Overnight into Early Thursday Morning...

Residual wet surfaces from snowmelt will freeze overnight as
temperatures drop back well below freezing. This will allow
patches of black ice to form on untreated ground surfaces.
Motorists traveling overnight through early Thursday morning
should allow extra time to reach their destination and be prepared
for black ice. Untreated walkways and parking lots may also
become very slippery for pedestrians.
