...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM AST THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Aguada, Aguadilla, Anasco, Las Marias, Moca, Rincon and
San Sebastian.

* WHEN...Until 500 PM AST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows
over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor
drainage areas. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
River or stream flows are elevated. Ponding of water in urban or
other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 140 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result and/or
exharcebate flooding conditions across the area, particularly
along Rio Culebrinas in Aguada, where a separate Flood
Advisory remains in effect due to standing water.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by standing water in roads along Rio
Culebrinas.

* WHERE...Aguada.

* WHEN...Until 600 PM AST Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in poor drainage areas. Water over
roadways. Some low-water crossings remain impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1146 AM AST, emergency managers indicated that roads
PR-418, PR-439, and PR-115 along Rio Culebrinas in Aguada
remain with slow moving or standing water. These roads are
still impassable and remain closed. This advisory will remain
in place while the threat continues, and may be upgraded to a
warning, if conditions warrant, with the onset of the
afternoon convection over northwestern Puerto Rico.
