Southeastern Lincoln County in east central Georgia...
Central Richmond County in east central Georgia...
West Central Aiken County in central South Carolina...
Western Edgefield County in central South Carolina...
Southeastern McCormick County in central South Carolina...

* Until 1000 PM EDT.

* At 831 PM EDT, The public reported multiple locations with flooding
across Evans, Augusta, and Martinez. Water continues flow across
areas near William Few Pkwy in Evans. Between 2.5 and 4 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Public reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
North Augusta, Grovetown, Evans, Martinez, Belvedere, Fort Gordon,
Augusta, Clearwater, Edgefield, Clarks Hill Recreation Area,
Riverwood, J. Strom Thurmond Dam, Village Plaza Shopping Center,
Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta Mall, Hamilton Branch State
Park, Daniel Field, Summerville, Midtown and Glendale.

This includes the following highways...
Interstate 520 in South Carolina between mile markers 16 and 23.
Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 0 and 13.
Interstate 20 in Georgia between mile markers 182 and 201. Interstate
520 in Georgia between mile markers 1 and 8...and between mile
markers 14 and 15.

Information:
Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a flooded
roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR EAST CENTRAL AIKEN, BAMBERG, NORTHEASTERN BARNWELL AND SOUTHWESTERN ORANGEBURG COUNTIES...

At 802 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts
of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Barnwell, Bamberg, Denmark, Williston, Blackville, Barnwell State
Park, Springfield, Hilda, Salley, Neeses, Norway, Snelling, Olar,
Elko, Windsor, Cope, Govan, Bamberg County Airport, Barnwell County
Airport and Aiken Gopher Tortoise Heritage Preserve.
