...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM CDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following counties, Austin and Colorado. * WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 627 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Heavy rainfall occurred in this area earlier this afternoon leading to quicker transition to runoff. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen earlier this afternoon in addition to the rain currently falling. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Weimar, Industry, Frelsburg and New Ulm. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
