...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL WEDNESDAY EVENING...

...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Wisconsin...

Wisconsin River at Muscoda affecting Grant, Iowa and Richland
Counties.

.Minor flooding is expected along the Wisconsin River at Muscoda. It
is expected to rise to a crest of 10.0 feet tomorrow evening. It
will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday morning.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast. This approaches the flood of record.

* WHERE...Wisconsin River at Muscoda.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, There is extensive lowland flooding.
However no flooding has been reported in Muscoda in previous years.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.1 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:45 AM CDT Saturday was 9.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.0
feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage
early Wednesday morning.
- Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
10.0 feet on 04/14/1951.
