...COLD WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON AKST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 35 to 45 below zero.
Northeasterly winds gusting 30 to 50 mph.

* WHERE...Thompson Pass.

* WHEN...Until noon AKST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 45 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...As gusty winds are lingering longer than
initially expected, wind chills are once again forecast to drop as
low as 40 below zero tonight. Wind chills will very likely warm by
by tomorrow afternoon as winds diminish and warmer air and clouds
move in.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.
