...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM AKST MONDAY... * WHAT...Widespread additional snow accumulations between 3 and 7 inches. Areas from the Nenana Hills to just west of Ester may see up to 10 additional inches locally. * WHERE...Chatanika River Valley, Fairbanks Metro Area, Goldstream Valley and Nenana Hills, Nenana, and Tanana Flats. * WHEN...Until 3 AM AKST Monday. * IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Visibilities may drop below 1 mile due to falling and blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. *ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An area of heavy snowfall to the west of Fairbanks North Star Borough will likely move east over the Borough Saturday night and Sunday morning. Snowfall rates could be as high as 1 to 2 inches per hour. Total snow accumulations are expected to range 6 to 12 inches. Highest amounts will likely be west of Fairbanks.
