Details:
...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKST THURSDAY...

...PERIODS OF SNOW SHOWERS THROUGH THURSDAY...

.Snow showers are making their way across the gulf and will
continue to stream in from the west through Wednesday night. Sea
level temperatures from Angoon and Sitka southward are still in
the mid to upper 30s as of 3 pm which is resulting in more of a
mix in precip type where the showers are starting up. Expect
those temperatures to start to decrease later this evening with
showers becoming more widespread and precip types at low
elevations becoming more snow. Yakutat is already seeing heavier
snow showers which will continue to move into that area into
early this evening.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7
inches.

* WHERE...Cape Fairweather to Lisianski Strait.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM AKST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow accumulations will be highly
variable with localized locations having a chance of seeing
accumulations a few inches higher or lower then the above
range. Temperatures are still in the mid 30s early this
evening so while snow has started there has been little snow
accumulation so far. Temperatures should start to decrease
this evening with more and possibly heavier snow showers.

Information:
Slow down and use caution while traveling.

People are urged to prepare their property before the onset of
winter weather.
