...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKST THURSDAY...

...PERIODS OF SNOW SHOWERS THROUGH THURSDAY...

.Snow showers are making their way across the gulf and will
continue to stream in from the west through Wednesday night. Sea
level temperatures from Angoon and Sitka southward are still in
the mid to upper 30s as of 3 pm which is resulting in more of a
mix in precip type where the showers are starting up. Expect
those temperatures to start to decrease later this evening with
showers becoming more widespread and precip types at low
elevations becoming more snow. Yakutat is already seeing heavier
snow showers which will continue to move into that area into
early this evening.

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 4 to 10 inches.

* WHERE...City and Borough of Juneau.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM AKST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult and is discouraged.
The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Temperatures have been in the mid 30s
with more mixed precip so far. Expect temperatures to start to
decrease this evening with more frequent snow showers
arriving. Snow accumulations will be highly variable with
localized locations having a chance of seeing accumulations a
few inches higher or lower then the above range.
