...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall continues.

* WHERE...West Central Lancaster County in central South Carolina...

* WHEN...Until 215 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1211 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This  will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lancaster, Springdale, USC Lancaster, Irwin, Andrew Jackson State
Park, Van Wyck, Arrowood Estates, Lancaster Mill, McWhirter
Airfield and Camp Creek Fire Station.

Information:
Most flooding deaths occur in vehicles. Never drive through a flooded
roadway or around barricades. Turn around, don't drown.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
