Mississippi River at Gregory Landing affecting Clark and Hancock Counties. Mississippi River at New Boston LD17 affecting Mercer and Louisa Counties. Mississippi River at Keithsburg affecting Mercer, Louisa, Des Moines and Henderson Counties. Mississippi River at Burlington affecting Lee, Hancock, Des Moines and Henderson Counties. Mississippi River at Muscatine affecting Mercer, Muscatine, Louisa and Rock Island Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Rock Island LD15. * WHEN...From Sunday morning until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 16.5 feet, Water affects Credit Island Lane in Davenport and the 4700 block of River Drive in Moline. Water is at the base of the flood wall gates at the downtown Rock Island riverfront. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 14.7 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage tomorrow morning and continue rising to 16.3 feet Friday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. The next statement will be issued by Sunday evening at 830 PM CDT.
