...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL THIS EVENING...

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
California...

Russian River near Hopland affecting Mendocino County.

For the Russian River...including Hopland...Minor flooding is
forecast.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Russian River near Hopland.

* WHEN...Until this evening.

* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Flooding of Highway 222 near Ukiah.
Secondary roads in low-lying areas will be flooded in the Hopland,
Ukiah, and Talmage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:45 AM PST Wednesday the stage was 19.0 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 21.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 6:45 AM PST Wednesday was 19.1 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
this morning and continue falling to 4.2 feet early Sunday
morning.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 19.2
feet on 01/31/1963.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur
in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips,
or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a
small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route over
higher ground.
