Total snow accumulations up to 2 inches in the valleys, with 4 to 10 inches above 3500 feet. Over one foot of snow is expected above 5000 feet in the Smokies. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Swain County. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Tuesday. * IMPACTS...Strong winds will lead to blowing snow, reduced visibility, and additional power outages. The heavy snow will make many roads impassable and may produce widespread power outages due to the weight of the snow on tree limbs and power lines. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
