...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST MONDAY...

* WHAT...Dangerous to nearly impossible travel conditions will
develop across parts of the county overnight due to intense lake
effect snow. Snow rates in excess of 3 inches per hour accompanied
by wind gusts over 30 mph leading to blowing and drifting snow.
Total accumulations will range from 1 to 4 inches over western
Lake County to 4 to 8 inches near the lake, with isolated totals
over 8 inches possible.

* WHERE...Lake IL County.

* WHEN...Until 6 AM CST Monday.

* IMPACTS...Snow rates in excess of 3 inches per hour may temporally
cripple travel across portions of the county. Strong northerly
wind gusts in excess of 30 mph may lead to greatly reduced
visibility, especially near the Lake Michigan shoreline.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow is often very localized,
with conditions varying from safe to dangerous across just a few
miles. The highest snow totals,  are expected near and east of
Interstate 94 with considerably less snow on the western side of
the county.

Information:
Persons should consider delaying all travel while and where the lake
effect snow is ongoing.
