...EXTREME HEAT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING... ...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 8 PM PDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...For the Extreme Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions
with high temperatures in the 90s to near 100 with low temperatures
in the 70s expected. For the Heat Advisory, high temperatures in
the mid 80s to mid 90s expected.

* WHERE...Santa Ana Mountains and Foothills.

* WHEN...For the Extreme Heat Warning, until 8 PM PDT this evening.
For the Heat Advisory, from 8 PM this evening to 8 PM PDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Heat related illnesses increase significantly during
extreme heat events.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of Major HeatRisk. Very warm overnight
temperatures will limit relief from the heat.

Information:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.
